What questions should clients think through before talking to a personal trainer or life coach?
There are many, here are a few that I think are important:
- Why do I really want a personal trainer?

- Am I committed to the investment?
- What is my availability and how can I fit this into my lifestyle?
- What is my preferred training style? Am I willing to modify it if necessary?
FITNESS
What is fitness coaching and how is it different from life coaching?
Life coaching is based on addressing the mental and emotional aspects of what you want and need, then mapping out a plan to achieve those goals. It is a more involved and proactive approach to fitness and health that differs from just physical fitness training itself.
How are fitness sessions scheduled?
After our initial consultation, we will work around your availability and fitness goals to decide how many days per week we’ll work together on your fitness plan. You can book your appointment via the online scheduler.
LIFE COACHING
What is life coaching?
Life coaching is a type of interactive coaching designed to help you change your perceptions, inspire, and encourage you to new ways of thinking and better results in your daily life and relationships. With life coaching you can:
- Hone your focus and mental clarity.
- Enhance the quality of your life by adjusting how you think, move, and react within your relationships and surroundings.
- Learn to leverage your strengths.
- 4. Discover and understand your gifts.
How is a life coach different from a therapist?
Simply put, a therapist helps a client dissect their past to help them understand their present behaviors. On the other hand, a life coach helps you confront your present situation and focus on where you want to be.
I’ve never had a life coach before, what should I expect?
What improvements do you want to see in your life? Perhaps you have an idea but are stuck figuring out how to execute it? A life coach will help you strategize, offer encouragement, and identify forward-thinking processes to help you improve your life.
How are coaching sessions scheduled?
Coaching sessions are scheduled in advance with three sessions per month so we can track your progress, celebrate your victories, and make adjustments if needed. In-person sessions and virtual coaching sessions can be combined or exclusive depending on your needs and location.
How long should I work with a Life Coach to get the results that I want?
The length of time is based solely on your goals and needs. I have created a minimum coaching period of three months with all of my clients. I recommend six to twelve months to establish?
After our initial consultation, we will work around your availability and fitness goals to decide how many days per week we’ll work together for your fitness plan. Once we have identified those days. you can book your appointment via the online scheduler.
NUTRITION
Why is nutrition important?
Simply put. According to the CDC, people with healthy eating patterns live longer and are at lower risk for serious health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. Heart disease ranks number one and Diabetes, number 7 as the leading cause of death in the United States. For people with chronic diseases, healthy eating can help manage these conditions, prevent complications and help you live longer.
What does a nutritional intake consist of?
A nutritional intake is a tool designed to gather information about your desired goals and outcomes, current nutrition and lifestyle practices, nutrition and lifestyle knowledge, body composition and measurements, social support and environment, health needs and limitations, function and physical capability and psychological state and mindset. It helps paint a picture of what your health and life really looks like.
